Terms of Use

The agreement between you and us about using PianoSheet AI.

Last updated 3 August 2026

1. What the app is

PianoSheet AI is a practice tool. You supply music, the app produces piano notation from it at three difficulty levels, and then gives you tools to learn it: a practice mode, a scoring report and a daily plan.

The app is not a music library. It does not host, index, search or recommend any catalogue of recordings, and it does not help you find music. It works on the file or the link you give it.

2. The music you bring in

You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you put into the app. That means audio you own, audio you recorded yourself, music in the public domain, or material you are otherwise licensed to use. By converting something you confirm that you have that right.

We do not check what you upload and we cannot give you permission you do not have. If you do not hold the rights to a recording, converting it here does not change that.

3. What you may do with the output

A transcription is a derivative of the underlying composition. So the sheet music the app produces from a recording is for your own private study and practice. It is not yours to publish, distribute, sell, or use in a public performance unless you hold or obtain the rights to the underlying work.

Notation produced from your own original playing, or from music in the public domain, is yours to do with as you wish.

The 100 bundled pieces come from the Mutopia Project and are public domain or CC-BY. Where a piece is CC-BY its licence requires attribution; the per-piece credits are in Settings.

4. What the transcription is worth

Automatic transcription is imperfect. The app produces a best effort, not a verified edition, and it will make mistakes, particularly on dense or heavily produced recordings. It is supplied for practice and is not represented as an accurate or publishable score.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

The app offers a single-song purchase and a subscription, PianoSheet Pro. All payments are processed by Apple and governed by your App Store account terms.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to infringe anyone's rights, do not decompile or reverse engineer it, do not resell access to it, and do not attempt to overwhelm the conversion service. We may decline to process material or suspend access where these terms are being broken.

7. Availability

Conversion depends on a processing service that may be unavailable, slow, or changed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or a particular conversion time. Practice, the bundled pieces and file import continue to work without it.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including any claim brought against you in relation to material you chose to convert. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

9. Changes and contact

These terms may change as the app develops; material changes appear here with a new date. Questions: customer-care@velorahealth.io.
