Terms of Service.

Okaya is a family wellness and connection app. It helps an elderly parent share a daily check-in, optional wellness signals and moments with family members she chooses, and helps the family notice unusually quiet days.

Okaya is not a medical device, an alarm service, or an emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, does not provide medical advice, and never contacts emergency services on anyone's behalf. Notifications depend on devices, networks, Apple's push infrastructure and settings outside our control; Okaya does not guarantee that every incident, anomaly or emergency will be detected or delivered in time, or at all. Always call your local emergency number in an emergency.

• Sign-in uses Sign in with Apple. Family members must be adults (18+). The parent role has no age restriction.
• A family space has one owner, who manages the subscription and can transfer ownership.
• The parent's consent governs all sharing. She may revoke any category or any person at any time; you agree not to pressure or circumvent her choices.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of emergency contact details your family enters, and for having permission to add those people.

• Okaya Free covers one parent and one family member, including the daily check-in, Peace Score, SOS and the full Silence Alarm. Safety features are free on every plan.
• Okaya Family is $9.99/month or $79.99/year with a 7-day free trial, billed through your Apple ID. It adds medication reminders, unlimited moments, additional parents and members, vitals, digests and the doctor-visit report.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Apple handles all payment and refunds under its own terms.
• If a subscription lapses, the space returns to the Free plan. Safety features remain active and no data is deleted.

• Use Okaya only with the knowing participation of the parent. The app is built so that monitoring without consent is not possible; attempting to circumvent that is a violation of these terms.
• Do not upload unlawful content to the family feed, attempt to access other families' data, reverse engineer the service, or use it to harass anyone.

Your family's content (moments, photos, stories, readings) belongs to your family. You grant us the limited license needed to store and deliver it to the members the parent has approved. Privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Okaya is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velora Health's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Okaya is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for harm arising from undelivered or delayed notifications, device or network failures, or reliance on wellness signals.

You can close your family space at any time in Settings; data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for material violation of these terms, with notice where practicable.

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Velora Health operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
