Aster keeps your symptoms and journal entirely on your device. Any Apple Health data it reads is analysed right on your phone and is never sent anywhere.

We do not collect any personal information. Aster does not require registration, login, or any account creation, and we operate no servers that receive your data.
All data you enter - including menopause-related symptoms, severity, journal entries, lifestyle notes, and the trigger insights generated from them - is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Your data is stored locally on your iOS device, subject to iOS system-level encryption and protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
Aster does not use iCloud sync, CloudKit, or any cloud backup operated by us. If you delete the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.
To help you discover what affects your symptoms, Aster can read selected metrics from Apple Health, which may include sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, step count, body weight, and menstrual flow. This requires your explicit permission through Apple's standard Health authorization screen.
Aster only reads this data - it never writes to Apple Health. All correlation and trigger analysis is performed on your device. Your Health data is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and there is no external server or AI service involved.
You can review or revoke Aster's access to Apple Health at any time in the iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices, or in the Health app.
Aster does not connect to the internet to send or receive your health data, and it does not contact any analytics, advertising, or tracking service. The only network activity associated with the app is Apple's own App Store handling of your subscription.
Aster Premium is an auto-renewable subscription available through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process any payment card information.
Subscription management (including cancellation) is handled through your Apple ID settings. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment-related data.
Aster does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use:
When you export a doctor report PDF, the document is generated entirely on your device and shared directly through iOS's native share sheet (to email, AirDrop, Files, etc.). The PDF is not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by us.
Aster is intended for adults managing perimenopause and menopause and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no data from any users, this concern does not apply in practice - but we note it for completeness.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Because we do not collect or store any of your personal data on our systems, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. All your data can be removed at any time simply by deleting the app from your device.
