Common questions
The app did not find my table. What now?
Retake the picture with the whole playing surface in frame and the cushions visible, then place the four corners yourself if the automatic detection is still off. Detection is weaker on photographs taken from along a long rail, so a view from behind a short rail usually works better. Once the corners are right, every number after that is computed from a layout you approved.
A ball is in the wrong place on the 2D table.
Drag it. Touching a ball selects it as your target, and dragging it moves it, with a short distance deciding which one you meant. Correcting a ball before you solve is normal and expected.
Why is it suggesting a different ball from the one I tapped?
Because the ball you tapped is not one you are allowed to hit first. In 9-ball that is always the lowest number on the table; in snooker it depends on whether you are on a red or a colour; in 8-ball it depends on your group. AimCue honours your choice only within the set of legal targets.
What do the numbers on the shot card mean?
The aim point is where to strike the object ball. The tip diagram is where your tip meets the cue ball, with the centre meaning a plain ball and offsets meaning side, follow or draw. Force is a relative scale from a soft roll to a firm stroke. The percentage is the share of simulated attempts that scored at your chosen skill level.
The percentage looks low for a shot I always make.
The number is tied to the skill level you selected, so a beginner profile will report a lower figure than a club profile for exactly the same shot. Change your level in Settings and the same position will read differently. Percentages are most useful for comparing the options in front of you rather than as an absolute score.
Can I use it during a league or tournament match?
That depends on the rules of your event, not on us. Many competitions restrict outside assistance during play. Check before you rely on it at a match table.
How do I cancel AimCue Pro?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the current period ends.
I paid but Pro is not showing.
Use Restore Purchases in Settings, and make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase and we will help.
Does AimCue work without an internet connection?
Completely. The app never uses the network, so everything works the same in a club basement with no signal as it does anywhere else.
When is AimCue coming to the App Store?
It is not released yet. Email us and we will let you know the day it is available.
