Frost stores your episodes on your device and syncs them through your own private iCloud. We never see your data. The only thing the app sends out is your location - to check the weather.

We do not collect any personal information. Frost does not require registration, login, or any account creation with us, and we operate no servers that receive your data.
All data you enter - including episode severity, affected body areas, color changes, symptoms, triggers, stress and sleep check-ins, medication notes, and the weather captured at each episode - is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Your data is stored locally on your iOS device, subject to iOS system-level encryption and protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
If you are signed into iCloud, Frost uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your own devices through your private iCloud database. This data resides in your personal Apple account; Velora Health has no access to it and operates no servers that store it. iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings.
If you delete the app, local data is removed from that device. Data synced to your iCloud can be managed or deleted through your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
Frost captures the local weather at the time of an episode and can warn you before temperatures drop below your personal threshold. To do this, the app requests permission to access your location while you are using the app, and uses low-precision (city-level) location.
When the app checks the weather, your approximate coordinates are sent to OpenWeather (openweathermap.org), a third-party weather provider, solely to retrieve current conditions and forecasts. We send only your coordinates - never your episodes or any health information.
To deliver cold-weather alerts, Frost may check the forecast in the background and show a local notification on your device. Location access is optional; if you decline it, automatic weather capture and alerts are unavailable, but the rest of the app works normally. OpenWeather's handling of requests is governed by its own privacy policy.
Cold-weather alerts and reminders are delivered as local notifications generated on your device. They are not sent from, or routed through, any server operated by us.
Frost Premium is an auto-renewable subscription available through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process any payment card information.
Subscription management (including cancellation) is handled through your Apple ID settings. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment-related data.
The only external service Frost contacts directly is OpenWeather, and only to fetch weather for your location as described above. iCloud sync is provided by Apple. Frost does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use:
When you export a PDF report for your doctor, the document is generated entirely on your device and shared directly through iOS's native share sheet (to email, AirDrop, Files, etc.). The PDF is not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by us.
Frost is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no data from any users, this concern does not apply in practice - but we note it for completeness.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Because we do not collect or store any of your personal data on our systems, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can remove your data at any time by deleting the app and clearing its data from your iCloud settings.
